Sotik Group grows tea and fresh produce in Kenya's Great Rift Valley. I designed its website to reflect the breadth of the business, from tea production and fresh produce to its people and approach to sustainability.
Typography played an important part in establishing the site's character. For the headings, I chose a slightly distressed typeface inspired by the lettering traditionally stamped onto tea chests and sackcloth. Combined with generous photography and a restrained layout, it helped create a distinctive identity rooted in the world of tea production, while showcasing the fascinating people and extraordinary landscapes behind the business.
